DeBoer secured $600,000 to ensure property was utilized for water rescue operations
State Rep. Nancy DeBoer, R-Holland, this week attended a ribbon cutting officially unveiling Park Township’s new marine safety facilities, located at the former Holland Coast Guard Station. Last year, DeBoer secured $600,000 in state funding to help renovate the former Coast Guard station, ensuring the Holland community retained the property for critical water safety operations.
The facility will house the Ottawa County Marine Division, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources patrol, and the Park Township Fire Department Water Safety Division. It will also serve as a hub for free boater and water safety classes for local residents. Photos courtesy of the Office of state Rep. Nancy DeBoer.
